General locations worth 1 point each. Town names must start with a G, L, M, or C.
-Any airport (active airports, no museums)
-Any train station (active stations, no museums)
-Any racetrack (go-kart, motocross, NASCAR, drag strip, etc.)
-9/11 memorials* (see note in planes combo below)
Any of these good ??

Found Lake Placid Airport in North Elba NY (Lake Placid NY is a town)

OK, I think I have worked it out. The format is (town name) Airport, at (some location),
- where (town name) must start with G, L, M or C
- and (town name) must be an actual suburb of a town, or a town or a city
- and (town name) & (some location) need to be the same.
- and (some location) must also start with G, L, M or C
- and (some location) must also be a suburb, or a town or a city (not at region or area)
Is this correct ??

In the case of Logan International Airport I did find a town Logan Township in
New Jersey
This could be pushing the envelope but the rules does not state the airport has to be near a town that begins with the airport name

I'm not going to be a super strict @#$&?+ about the rules. It's about having fun and exploring. The stakes aren't that high, this isn't the ironbutt rally. If in doubt, take the picture. No penalty for a bad entry.

I won't be able to "claim" any of the Combo bonuses as they involve specific USA locations, but that is OK as we do have a few train stations, airports and race tracks.

I know it is still some weeks away before the actual start date, but have the 2022 Grand Tour Rules been finalized, and if so, are they available to download ??
The Website, and Ride Master, still refer to the 2020/21 Rules.

A sign is located that has name of the airport on it and is the name of a town beginning with the letter G-L-M-C.
However the sign is at an access road to the airport and has an arrow on it pointing the direction one needs to go on the access road to get to the airport
Quesion...do signs at or near the airport with an arrow on them count?

I'll fall back on previous rallies of all kinds, generally those signs don't count. I'm not going to be a jerk with scoring, so if you had that specific sign situation and you could see the airport behind it I would count that

Lets push the envelope a little bit here. Under General Locations, the rules state Any train station (active stations, no museums)
Does the "station" have to be a passenger station or will active grain loading rail facilities be accepted ??

That sounds like a train station to me. Anywhere cargo or passengers are boarded, other than massive rail yards

With the passing of Alvin, fun sports gift cards/tire probably won't be the prizes anymore. His shop will still be a bonus location this year.
We will have something similar, probably RevZilla or prepaid gas cards of some sort. Dave makes great wood awards, and I just got a 3d printer so those are also possibilities.

I had a little fall resulting in two fractured ribs and a concussion and am just today feeling like I'm back to normal brain activity [normal for me anyway] and no more random blurred vision.
