Some Z photos - Bart - 05-16-2013 01:55 PM

I had the good fortune to do some riding down south over the last week before it becomes too stinking hot to ride down there, and thought I'd share some Z towns that I found (the A towns are so common):

Zabcikville, TX. Using Google's Street View, I was able to see/confirm the name on the building. So I went there.

Zenith, KS. Got some funny looks from a couple of guys who were leaving work for the day. The signs say the area is under video surveillance by the sheriff's office to deter the meth heads.

Zenda, KS. A little hard to read here without a bit of increased magnification but really, it's there. And the route I took to get there was really hard - craptacular gravel roads. Did I mention that my 2720 died and I had only paper maps to use over 4,300 miles of riding?

Zephyr, TX. You're out of the hill country by here but I enjoyed the roads from the south which led to here.

Zapata, TX. The big enchilada of my ride. Did I mention I hate the Rio Grande Valley? Even though I bagged about 15 locations in that hellhole...

As a public service, the "busts" on my ride were Plevna, KS; Watova, OK; Tulsita and Pandora, TX. Street View showed a sign for a Baptist church in Pandora but it wasn't there when I looked for it.

Hopefully it's not raining to bad this weekend and I can grab a couple on my way the OPR in South Shore.

I always enjoy getting out of the way GT's..... that's part of the fun!!!!
