New Toy - Picked up another one... - StarWolve - 06-13-2013 08:38 PM 2007 Buell Ulysses, with only 6k miles on it. Picked it up a couple weeks ago, but was travelling for work. Just got it road legal today. Had it out on some local roads last night - this thing is amazingly fun. And I thought my Firebolt was tall - this thing is huge. It reminds me of riding my DR, except it's a beast! I'm not sure how I've transitioned to Buells, but this is the 2nd one in the garage, and I have a feeling it won't be the last. This model was the last year for the "simple" ECM that can be easily remapped, and has basically the same drivetrain as my Firebolt. I have the hard bags for it, and I plan on building a stainless steel kennel for the top rack to haul my dogs around on. (Yeah, I know it might seem unusual - but I take my dogs everywhere I can, and I'd like to be able to ride to some places with them) Hopefully they enjoy it as much as riding in the truck: Anyways - I'm also selling off my Yamaha chopper project. I have no interest in it anymore, and I don't have the space. Too many Buells in the garage! If anyone is interested in a nicely hardtailed XS650, let me know. Other than that - I haven't been posting or riding as much as I'd like because I started a new job, and have been on Long Island for the last few weeks. Hopefully things settle down a little bit so I can find some more free time, but I'm still loving Charlotte.
