I just got home from the 2013 Buffalo Road Rally. I still have a smile on my face. I had an amazing time.
I would like to thank everyone involved. From the pre rally dinner, the rally itself and the award ceremony; class act.

Is it to early to send my registration for next year?

And the winner is?

JEF, sadly having sat on the sidelines for the fun.

A HUGE thank you to everyone for a great weekend!!!!

I finally got a few hours of sleep!!!!! Smile

I will get a rally report posted tomorrow night with some pics and scores. If some of the riders would email me their pics of Noah and the mandatory bonuses I will put together a little video.

I did hear some reports thru the grapevine, that the individual who played the 600 year old Noah, did not have to do much with make-up to make himself look that old.

JEF ( even much older ).

Thanks to Chad, Brion, and all the volunteers that helped put this on. Sharon and I had a great time. Special thanks to Jack and Marlene for the roles they played. It was great.

Had lots of fun this year, but I was surprised at how taxing it was on me riding 2 up. Dee had fun too, and wants to do it again. Few pictures we took: getting a knee down, toad from the badger sign near Pisgah, and the hardware store in Quimby, IA.

Here is the video I took Sunday morning at the start of the rally. No one seemed to be in that big of hurry?

(still be processed at this time, wait a while.)

Scott Finn's tire. Something obviously cut this thing. It was still kind of holding air, but Scott had to fill it up a couple times to get from Stone Park back to North Sioux City. He was the first rider back Sunday afternoon, he came in riding it flat. We were able to get a used tire on his bike Monday morning and send him home.

Alvin Bertram called with this little problem about 1 PM during the Buffalo Run. He was down near Boone, Iowa. Luckily someone had a new PR2 and Sleddog had the time to ride it down to him while Marlene stood in for him at the shooting bonus. Alvin maintained a pretty positive attitude through the whole deal. They were able to get the new tire on in 7 minutes and Alvin managed to get a few more bonuses. I stuck the pencil through the hole Monday morning just to demonstrate its size. Thanks Sleddog!!

The Rally shirt had a new design with a special Noah on them to match the theme, find the animals of Noah's ark. Rider's were required to wear their rally shirts to the first mandatory bonus Saturday morning, a photo bonus. They were to find Noah down by the Tugboat in the Sioux City River front park. Noah didn't see the t-shirts Sunday morning until Marlene pointed out the design to him when the last rider arrived. Thanks for all your help Jack and Marlene - our best rally volunteers.

This is what Ken S. needed right before he got Sioux City for the rally... nice ride Ken.

Lastly, thanks everyone for showing up to play and also to everyone who helped clean up the Community Center Sunday evening after the rally. I really appreciated all the help!!
