Bonzai Hotel Reminder - Frump - 05-05-2015 09:44 PM
Hey Everyone - You need to book your Bonzai hotel rooms very soon if you haven't yet. Nels called Sharon tonight and the hotel was trying to release the rooms. We have rooms reserved near the area you want them at a discount rate. The hotel agreed to hold the rooms for us for a few more days.

It is a bit, but in my line of work a lot of things change around all the time. I frequently find myself having to cancel events, which is a shit.

Just an FYI to everyone - You can cancel rooms up to a few days before the Rally. They don't charge your card until you check in. If anyone has a room they don't need, they could post it here and maybe we could get it transferred, once the room block/discount goes away.

I'm not staying at the hotel this year. New domestic arrangements in my life mean that I get to stay in St. Paul overnight. That does mean I won't be able to join in the drinking shenanigans, but I could use a few less pints anyway.

Drinking shenanigans are not nearly as important as the parking lot story telling time. Hopefully the official GLMC version of Lt. Uhura can get the time off from his corporate overlords to be there and lead both the story telling and shenanigans sessions.

I have been talking to the hotel and T-shirt wizards and we are at a deadline for providing meals and T-shirts. If you are coming to the Bonzai and want in a great meal or a T-shirt, 5/15/2015 is the deadline. After that you can still enter and join the fun but may not get a T-shirt. We never send anyone away hungry. There are always pretzel and chips.
