Yippy, I really won something for once...... Ha Ha

Thanks for everything, Mike!!

If someone happens to see a black towel beside the road while doing a loop around Lake Superior, see if there's a number 72 on it.. Big Grin

This was the last time I saw my flag.. I've gotten pretty good at this.. Leaving a flag on the bike and riding off, that is..

It might be easier to contact Mike. He had several left over flags at the banquet he was handing out.

You could pick it up on your way to get your new tireWink

Congratulations!

Thanks Jack.. I was kidding about the flag, except for the part of being good at losing them.. Big Grin The Marathon sign was aluminum so I thought I'd just stick the flag to the bike, and of course being stuck on the side I don't normally see as I get on, I forgot about it..
Just before that I'd tipped my bike over when taking it off the centerstand while taking this photo..

It doesn't look like that much of an angle, but it was too much to put it on the side stand and when I took it off the centerstand the bike ended up tipping away from me. I managed to crack the screen on my 4 day old camera in the process.. Picking the bike up was easy, but I was flustered for doing a dumb move in the first place. Marathon was just up the road and that's were the flag was last seen..

I have enough of an issue riding two Grand Tours at the same time while on vacation.. I know why I don't ride Road Rallies.. Big Grin

Hmmmm, if I remember correctly, which I do, someone quoted above teased me mercilessly when I tipped over my new to me by 2 weeks Suzuki m50 on soft ground......if I were mean kind of a guy, which I am not........something about not even girls tip over their bikes? Oh the valor of self restraint. I am glad the bike didn't end up on top of your leg. Those BMW's are not light.

Bummer about the camera.

The good thing about BMW twins is that they only fall over so far.. Big Grin The camera issue isn't as bad as it seems.. For some reason I ponied up for a 2 year replacement warranty, that even covers damage from breakage.. I'm going to send it in soon..

Not sure what happened, but I don't see my Dad or myself in the results (Riders #521 and #120)

Mike, I sent you an email about it.

The IRC tire arrived today!! Thanks again to Fun Sports of Hutchinson!!

I'll be slapping it on the back of my Husky TE250 and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to climb a tree with that thing!!!
