For all you facebook people, there is an event for the popcycle on the club page now

https://www.facebook.com/events/1660043977586990/

RE: POPCYCLE - Frump - 12-18-2015 09:59 AM

Here is link to the flyer Don put together: http://www.glmc.org/popcycle_derby_flyer_2015.pdf . Print out a few copies and hand them out if you can.

I'll try to get the event web page setup this weekend. I'll try to get an entry form together for that, but most people will pay at the event. You can signup at the event. It would be nice if folks who know they are coming send a message to Don letting them know so he has a rough estimate.

How is the bar tender there?

RE: POPCYCLE - Don Q - 01-31-2016 08:45 AM

Cannon Falls and Northfield are less than 15 miles. Faribault is closer to 20 miles. All have Hotels. I have no recommendations. Fireside has good family style food.

As with any event , volunteers are needed. Anyone who is willing to help, please let me know. Thank-you.

I think you should all get rooms in Hutchinson, so you're close to the Sunday meeting. Then we can hang out and watch the Daytona Supercross Saturday night. I've also got a couple of couches that you can sleep on for free!

Getting excited this will more than likely be the virgin ride for the KTM.

RE: POPCYCLE - Lapchik - 03-01-2016 08:42 AM

Anyone else up for supercross? I'm in

RE: POPCYCLE - LSGiant - 03-02-2016 12:33 PM

Doubtful for Supercross, Popcycle temps to be in the 40s, no excuse for not riding.

RE: POPCYCLE - Lapchik - 03-02-2016 01:51 PM

Snow on the roads up there or did you not get any snow this week?

RE: POPCYCLE - LSGiant - 03-02-2016 02:50 PM

Almost everything we got melted already. Sun has a lot of power

RE: POPCYCLE - Don Q - 03-02-2016 03:52 PM

I'm hoping for a nice storm Friday. With the temps we have, just expect muddy conditions at best.

RE: POPCYCLE - AlvinB - 03-03-2016 09:03 AM

In my original post, I was thinking of watching the races at the local bar. But, if there's only a handful of us we could hang out at my place. The TV is small and the wait staff sucks, but my BYOB, no cover charge, and free popcorn policies should make it a lot more economical than the local bar.

Ok, so we need live updates for those of us that are a few hundred miles away. ...
