I have the signup forms at RideMaster completed. You can signup here http://www.glmc.org/buffalo.php. There is a button near the bottom for the signup forms.
This year's rally theme will be Dives, Diners and Curvey... Roads.

We only have one rider signed up so far. If he is the only one who rides he will win some wood, unless he DNFs like "some" of us did at the Bonzai (dam it Jim).
Chad, you need to sign up for the Buffalo too. I will feel personally insulted if you sent money to all those other rallies and didn't show up, and then didn't send some to the Buffalo Rally. (<-- just checking to see if he is paying attention).

Please don't wait until the last minute to sign up for the Buffalo Run if you can. Sign up before August 21st to get a unique event t-shirt. I'm thinking about adding a curmudgeon bonus or class, I have a couple of ideas rolling around in my noggin, but I'm willing to listen to comments? I have 31 curvy roads on my list now, working on narrowing that down. I'm thinking we should maybe have done the dual sport class again, but I think it's too late now. Plan on a super fun rally.

I am thinking about signing up for this rally but I'm coming from Arkansas and had a couple of questions. This will be my first "official" rally so what's the worst that can happen, last place or DNF?
Would we get the bonuses sent a little ahead of time? And is the Sat night meeting mandatory? There's no way I can make it there in time for that due to prior commitments on Saturday, I'd probably be looking at 9 or 10 PM.

Hope you can make it.
Regardless of how well you do, the worst that can happen is you end up spending the day of the rally riding your motorcycle to interesting locations, followed by a nice meal and get together afterwords; the rally is what you choose to make of it.
The Sat night meeting is not mandatory.
I think last year we received the bonus locations a day or two before the rally, but every year is different.

I'm going to try to get the bonuses sent up a couple days before the rally. I may or may not include coordinates in the early version, but the locations are not difficult to find this year if you can find the town or village they are in. There will be an informal get together Saturday night, probably near the hotels and Community Center (Firehouse), but it will not be mandatory. I'll send all the details out and post them the week of the Rally.
PS/FWIW - I'll order a few extra t-shirts, but only those who signup up before or on Monday (August 21st) will be guaranteed a shirt.
If anyone is volunteering, please email me or post your shirt sizes on this thread.

Thanks! I'm going to try to make it, will know by this weekend if I have to be available to cover a shift at work. I saw it a month or so ago but didn't put it together that it was on Labor Day weekend and couldn't understand why you were running it on Sunday!
What states will you possibly include? I haven't traveled in that area other than passing through to go to Minneapolis so I think I probably need to get some maps if i can get them in time so I can see the big picture. The state travel places usually take forever to get maps mailed in my experience. Otherwise I'll try to hit some visitors centers on the way

Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska mostly. Have had bonus locations in Kansas, Missouri, and Minnesota in previous years also.

Moving ahead. T-shirts were ordered yesterday. Any extras will be available on first come first serve basis, but you can still sign up. Alex K did the drawing again, so its pretty cool. Drawing is on the back, and club logo on the front pocket.

Yeah, the retired farmer gig is tough - you guys don't actually slow down until your actually 6' under. Since Theresa isn't coming, you can bring anything you want. Some pens and clipboards however would be nice. BOB award stand would be nice. I have the club calculator bag. Dave and Sharron are heading down, so if you can't come ask them to pick up stuff.

Joane and I will be at the KOA. Due to my mishap we will have the little red cage. We are arriving sometime late evening Friday. Tan colored Motorhome with a little red Toyota. (Minnesota plates) If folks want to come use the grill and hang out on Saturday we will certainly be around.

Mike H let me know I had closed registration on RideMaster on the 28th. I bumped it out to the 2nd. I can change the Sneeky's Chicken order up to about 2 hours before we pick it up. I'm heading over to pick up the t-shirts over my lunch break in a couple minutes - there are plenty of t-shirts. Drag some friends out, the weather here the past seven days and through this weekend has been awesome, some the best late August weather ever. The weather minions are saying 80's all weekend will very little change of precip.
