Popcycle Derby 2018 - Don Q - 01-15-2018 08:20 AM

The Popcycle is less than 2 months away. Come join in the fun of winter riding in Minnesota. The Popcycle will be run out of Dennison,MN once again on March 3rd. 10am sign up.First motorcycle out at 11am. Don't feel like riding, volunteers are always welcome. See you there.

Will folks stop on the road where the checkpoint workers can see them?
How many route sheets with Don need to print?

Warm and cold are relative to how much of a wuss you are.
Hopefully not, that's a DQ as far as I can remember.
Between 10 and 1000 at a rough guess.

Your time is recorded when the check point workers see your foot is down.We don't DQ. We just give you more points.

To all the wonderful people who are planning to volunteer at next weekends Popcycle... Joe and Michelle of Fireside Lounge will be opening the doors at 9am to allow us to set up. To all the brave riders... there will be a brief riders meeting at 1045am.

Dave W and I are thinking about staying somewhere near there (give or take an hour or so) Saturday evening. I know the annual meeting is not the following day (Sunday), but if I can manage to get up there is anyone interesting in doing something or hanging out Saturday evening or Sunday morning?

I would be interested in hanging out for supper and maybe longer depending how far away I am from home with a bike that needs to get unloaded. Busy Sunday morning til 10:30.
I have two guest bedrooms available.

For those of you from out of town or just want to have more fun than we will already be having at the Popcycle Derby, I have made reservations at the Green Mill in Eden Prairie for 5:00, under the name of Popcycle Motorcycle Derby. They are going to put us in the back because then we can make as much ruckus as we want and not bother other people Smile
How many of you are game?

It isn't looking good for me making it tomorrow. I am currently trying to cobble together something to get the furnace to run. The control board is shot, and I only have a couple little electric space heaters. I probably have a midnight Walmart run for more heaters ahead of me, hopefully the plumber in Alexandria has a control board. I'm not very hopeful. Maybe I'll get to go out and grab a GT picture tomorrow if nothing else.

So, I just got done figuring out where to plug in all these heaters so they don't overload breakers. The furnace needs a new control board, and I don't have the components to solder it back together yet. I'm tired, and not going to make it tomorrow. Don is going to have to wait another year to get his rocket stove, LOL

Sorry to hear that Kory. Next year. Very disappointed in mother nature. Looks like the biggest issue will be mud.
