Loess Hills Help
I want to ride my CRF250L offroad more, but I can't seem to find any public ground or trails around here (NW IA) where I can do that. Dirt roads are ok, but I want to be somewhere that the GPS doesn't see as a street. Anyone have gpx files or just names of places I could go?

RE: Loess Hills Help
Cory,

I'll email you the name of a guy who rides some trails in SC proper and on reservations near the river. I think I sent it to you last year as well. He is looking for some new folks to ride with a couple weeks ago and he is probably the best trail rider in the area that I know, so you might be able learn a few tricks from him. One of his regular haunts was open to bikes here in the SC for decades until some folks built some over-prices homes near by and convinced the city that bikes shouldn't be there because of the noise. Its still however public land, but there are "warning" signs posted. You probably rode right by the area on the Buffalo Run.

RE: Loess Hills Help
I am going to go to Watertown the Friday before the banquet? I am planning on going out to the off road area on Saturday and see if my skills have improved.

Not the same as the hills but I think every weekend is booked from now until. The end of October.

I am going to start a new thread about the off road area

It's not a competition, It's a demonstration. "Rowan"

DAKAL
I know of at least one person (Scott) who would be interested in the DAKAL this fall, maybe two depending on the dates...any specific dates in mind?

Yes, we've been home from the Black Hills for approximately 2 hours and we are already planning a return trip! Now I understand why there's a SD Dual Sport Riders club! Fantastic fun!

I would meet you out there Saturday morning if you end up doing that.
