RE: Off Road Poker Run And Hare Scramble Flyer
I'm in the dark as to what this is. Is it a "race" like an AMA hare scrambles, with a motocross track section and a woods section? Could my KLR250 or KLR650 be used? How about my son and his 10 year old KX250F? Thanks and sorry for my confusion!

I ran a CRF250L in it. KLR would probably be a lot of work, and Charles ran a super sherpa in this event. You can see it in this video.

RE: Off Road Poker Run And Hare Scramble Flyer
Thanks, looks like fun! My KLR250, maybe, not the 650! Would a KX250F be able to run in either the trail rider class or the open one?

Yes you can ride the KX250F
I think Kory is to young and talented to ride in the Trail Rider class

I have just enough of a sense of self preservation to take the easier course. Plus I don't want a CRF450 falling from the sky on top of me after taking flight over some insane jump

I know of quite a few trail riders should be fun. Maybe Steve will make it easy enough for me to make more than one lap.

RE: Off Road Poker Run And Hare Scramble Flyer
the course is really easy (for thr trail riders section) this year. maybe too easy! no big/rocky uphills and no water (at least not at the crossing), we put in a culvert and raised the road.

Booo that was the best part, you got to cool down a bit and splash Don Q on his Suzuki!

Many Thanks to Steve and crew for getting this event set up. I had a great time and got to bring home some cash also.

Hats of to Alvin who road in the big boy class and brought home a nice trophy.

Many pics here http://lsgiant.smugmug.com/2015/Off-Road.../i-M97864Z and some samples below
