Just wondering if anyone would like to ride to Martinsburg Sunday

Meet up for burgers and the other goodys around 1:00 PM

I would be leaving the Alta,IA area about 10 to 10:30 AM on the KLR

Let me know if interested, probably won't go if its just me.

Hey Farmer, most of the other guys around here are either out of town on trips or can't make it today. Try it again later, I haven't been there since spring and my cholesterol probably needs the boost.

I've only been able to make it there once so I haven't gotten tired of it yet. I would have gone today if I looked at the forum sooner, would have had to drive my car though as my hand hasn't healed yet.

Now that I know what the "other guys around here" were off doing I sure wish I had been with them instead of trying to put together a RTE.

Oh well.

How about meeting in Martinsburg on Sept. 20th folks?

Here is something else to consider: Applefest in Woodbine, IA - http://www.woodbineia.org/community/applefest

During Applefest, the Woodbine Methodist Church hand makes a lot (a really serious amount) of apple pies to sell. Pies are made with apples locally grown. They sell it by the slice the church basement or you can get an entire pie to take home for $10 or $12 bucks (don't remember exact amount). Its seriously good pie too, but they usually run out about 3 or 4 PM. The town also has blocks and blocks of booths on the streets selling stuff you would find at large flee market and the downtown area is filled with a car show, motorcycle show and the best part... an antique tractor show. There are usually about 20 clubs and other vendors selling food.

The best part is its the last weekend of the GT.

Farmer: Jim's waiting to have his hips replaced Wed (can't move much right now), Randy went on the SDTAT ride, and my buds Loyd and Eric spent the week riding trails in Colo. I sat home and worked on Saturday and then got depressed about missing out on everything most of the afternoon on Sunday. A bunch of people here in Sioux City were either gone or out of commission.

I'll be there with my girlfriend this Saturday at noon. Show up or don't, but I'll eat the whole plate of cheeseballs myself if nobody else shows up. Save me from myself, people.
