Dual Sport Motorcycle Class
I am arranging a dual sport motorcycle class with BC Moto Adventures this coming may, in Blue Mound, Kansas.

The course is highly rated, and takes place on my buddies ranch. He has carved out a really excellent off road training course. STRich, Sleddog and LSGiant have all attended this course.

Anyway – the dates of the course are Wednesday and Thursday May 6th and 7th. Food and accommodations are extra (except for lunch, which is provided both days). For those who like camping, Eddie will let us camp on his ranch. Ladies will get use of the washroom facilities in his very nice cabin. Men – well we suck, and he knows better than to risk his septic system to a bunch of us, so we will rough it a bit.

There are also decent motels nearby for those who prefer that.

BONUS – Eddie is going to lead a ride through the Flint hills on Friday and Saturday, ending up at a point suitable for blasting back to Mn on Sunday, for anyone who wants to put their new skillz to the test. Eddie is a very accomplished rider himself, and won the GS Giants about 3 years ago.

The course is aimed specifically at learning to take big dual sports off road. I will be taking my Triumph Tiger 800, and I have a couple of BMW GS riders signed up. The course instructors both lead on 1200 GS’s.

The course instructors are Bill Conger and Liz Allen, who are both BMW certified, which means they both went through the BMW Motorcycle Instructors school in Germany. Both used to teach at the BMW Performance Center, until Bill started his own business.

There are 12 places in total on the course, first come first served. Being limited to 12 places means everyone gets one on one tuition as needed.

Some people have asked whether this is an advanced or beginners class. The class is suitable for people who have never been off road. I have only limited dual sport experience, so I am especially interested. However, the class has also been attended by more experienced riders, and everyone has said that they got a LOT out of it. I already have people signed up who are going through it a second time, after attending last year.

The first day of the class is on a private, off road track specifically built for this class by my friend Eddie on his ranch. The second day will involve going out into “real world” conditions.

Please contact me directly for more info (such as cost - which is deliberately not posted here) or if you have questions.

This course is well worth it. I will also be at the spring kick off meeting on 15th March, and can provide more details then, but payment will be needed by April 1st. First come, first served of course.

It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem.

RE: Dual Sport Motorcycle Class
There were two 2 day classes at my place. I believe everyone improved their riding and learned skills on how to handle different situations someone would encounter on a dual sport ride.

Here is a link to the instructors FB page with lots of pictures: https://www.facebook.com/pages/BC-Moto-A...9392554006

We are already discussing next years class.

Dust sucks so I'll lead.
