How I Spent My Weekend
This is how my weekend started to form back in May:

So this weekend, I didn't get in much riding. But I converted a bunch of these:

Into full freezer of frozen cherries and these:

Also found a recipe for Cherry Mujitos which seemed very effective. Big year for cherries, but ended up leaving nearly 2/3 of the tree unpicked. I coudn't get anyone to neighborhood or work to come pick some. I wished they would have been ripe about 1 week earlier so I could have used them for pie for the DS Adv rally.

Then Sunday I got a distress call relayed from Sleddog about a rider on the Butt Lite who had a little problem in Sioux City near Floyd Monument area. I spent the afternoon and evening with this:

Special appreciation goes to "Big" Jim Johnson (anonymous book responder and loading assistance), Chuck Swenson (facilities, tools, and technical phone support), Stan Stille (who donated a used drive shaft to fit '94 R1100RS and all he asked in return was a little help moving a 60" TV when I showed up for the shaft), and my patient wife.

Wow - quite a weekend. Good for you for helping the rider out - it's a hell of a community this.

And the PIE!s look fabbo.

It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem.

WOW the Cherry Trees look fabulous! I wish I were close enough to come pick them, so I could make pies....I think I am close enough however to come help you eat the Pie!!!! Smile
I am sure the Butt Lite particpant was very happy to have your help!
Looking for the link to see where Beth and Connie are at on SPOT. Can you give me any help on that? Do we have any other GLMC members doing the Butt Lite? I was at the Butt Lite Blog and it is not displaying anything. http://buttlite7.blogspot.com/2014/07/bu...acker.html

RE: How I Spent My Weekend
Spot for the group is working for me. Riders had very specific instructions to not share their locations with the general public. If you mean Connie Gabrick she is not riding. She had a minor mishap in the Minnesota 1000

It's not a competition, It's a demonstration. "Rowan"

RE: How I Spent My Weekend
SunFlower - if you come the Dual Sport Adv Rally next year and we have a normal spring weather timing wise, you can take a couple gallons home with you. I'll even help you pick'em. John is probably wondering if I'm on drugs now, my hands were all cherry colored and my eyes were bloodshot from all the pollen dust I had gotten exposed too.
