Buffalo Road Rally 2014

Hi All

Please get your reservations in to the Buffalo Rally. Doug has a great place to camp and the price for rooms at the hotel are a great deal.

FYI Joane and I will be there on Friday and looking to do some Dual Sport and tourist riding before the rally.

If you could let the GLMC group know that the rooms are being released to the public as of today. If anybody needs a room they need to make their reservation today. Be sure to refer to the Buffalo Run to get the agreed price. If they don't stay here expect to pay $150/night so they need to get on it.

The information has been posted for 6 months, and we have posted rally reminders. That is more then sufficient. The Rally Master put down a sizable chunk of money to hold those rooms for everyone as long as he could. If you missed the 6 month window, call the hotel and see if you can still get a deal. There are plenty of other hotel options in the area and there is also free and other camping options.

The Rally Master checks his email every day or two. If you have questions or want to camp at his place, contact him or Ken via email addys or the phone numbers provided on the Rally Page.

Doug is traveling for work this week, but if you can get your signups emailed or sent to to him that would be great. I have posted the rider names that he had as of last week down under the Announcements area of the forums. We will update that list again next Monday.

If you would, also send me (brion.hase@gmail.com) an email with your name and shirt size. I need to get shirt order in at the end of the week or Monday at very latest. Otherwise you might not get a shirt or it might fit your wife, girlfriend, or dog better then you. Also, any volunteers, please send me your shirt sizes as well.

I have 30 lbs of t-shirts including a few left-over Dual Sport Rally T's and about 16 GLMC caps loaded on my Strom. I really like the Buffalo Run T's this year. Several extra Buffalo Rally shirts still available for volunteers and late signups. Heading west via the Nebraska Sand Hills about 2 PM (or so) today. If anyone is sitting on the fence on this rally, I would encourage you to come out, ride in the rally, volunteer, or just visit and see what a GLMC road rally is about.

GLMC caps are still $7.50 - they would have been cheaper but i'm still trying to break even on the first batch. New Randy's (Rider #618) wife Cindy did a good job on them. Caps are on first come basis (I tried to contact everyone who didn't get one on the first batch a few weeks ago).
