Spring meeting
Sunday, March 5 at noon (day after the popcycle)

300 Dorans St, Glencoe, MN

This address is not in Glencoe, but is actually the bar in Biscay.

Much the same as last year. We'll go over normal club business and talk about the year ahead.

RE: Spring meeting
Anyone have any plans for Saturday evening? I'm going to find a hotel to stay at between Dennison and Glencoe.

RE: Spring meeting
Since it looks like the weather may be conducive to ride on Sunday, I might take a ride and attend the meeting.

If I make it would I be able to register for the Grand Tour?

RE: Spring meeting
I won't mind seeing Chester, but not sure how Old Ted would feel about me coming home with smells of another animal on me. I had an offer for a couch as well. I had been looking for a hotel/motel near a brew pub with a desire to find some locally produced Porter or Stout. I hear Frank is going to be staying in Glencoe Saturday night, so I might check with him first. If anyone has a good brew pub - hotel option let me know.

RE: Spring meeting
All my brew pub recommendations are in Minneapolis, but like Rich said, that's kind of out of the way.
If you do end up staying in Minneapolis; I'll meet you at Dangerous Man, which has the best Porters and Stouts and I like Porters and Stouts.

RE: Spring meeting
I wish I could recommend a good brew pub locally, but there's nothing close to Glencoe. The Hollywood Roadhouse has an impressive selection of beers and is 20 miles away, but the service is hit-and-miss. The Iron Tap in Waconia is about 30 miles away from Sunday's meeting, and has lots of very good choices. I'd meet the group at either bar, and I have a couch available. ........Now how to get home after all that sampling??

Found this one: http://u4icbrewing.com/

Its about 25 miles from Glencoe so I'm thinking about getting supper (supper is what people of MN call dinner) there Saturday night with Frank, and then crashing at the Super 8 in Glencoe. Shooter texted me this morning and I have to talk to him tonight about maybe picking up a motorcycle or something, so my plans are still in limbo.

U4IC is 10 miles down the road from me. My other brother is within walking distance. The beer is average. The atmosphere is less than average. Once you guys decide where you are going to be let me know and I see what I can do to find you.

RE: Spring meeting
I've ridden past there (U4IC) and didn't expect that they had a dining area. That being said, we'll make our own atmosphere! If we were to settle for average beer, I propose we go somewhere that we can hang out and watch supercross til midnight. The only places I'm familiar with for that would be Buffalo Wild Wings, Squeaky's, or my place.

FYI, U4IC only has food trucks or bring your own food.

RE: Spring meeting
I'm not bailing, but I'm now bringing a trailer to bring back a motorcycle for certain someone from Counciltucky who is bailing. I plan to help run a check point or something on Saturday.

An average Stout or Porter is better then most other beers - Frank and I will decide where we are going Saturday. Since I have to get up at 4 AM Saturday and I'm generally not considered much of a "morning person", I'm not going to be able to watch Motocross on TV until midnight unless I can do it with my eye lids down and you all remember how that worked last time, don't you Mary?

RE: Spring meeting
I might actually venture out to the spring meeting on Sunday. Depends a bit if I get 小牛 de-winterised. If I do manage to get there maybe I'd be interested in signing up for the GT as well.
