RE: DakAL Trip Planning
If anyone has a spare bunk at the stage coach stop, I'd be interested. Also at Buffalo. There are rooms at Buffalo, so I can go that route. I have reserved rooms at Bell's in Spearfish fro Sunday and Tuesday, but I'd rather be out at the Stage stop on Sunday night.
Thanks Bob 605-880-9942 if you want to talk about it |

RE: DakAL Trip Planning
Does anyone have the satellite uplink spot? That way if you stop for hours you can put on a message for tire change food etc. so I don't worry that something happened like the last few times I've watched spot links

RE: DakAL Trip Planning
On the last of riding (FRI), the group scatters due to fire and rain....literally! Kevin and I decide to try to do more than head home. We split up at the hotel with Kevin atempting to finish the last 55 miles into the inferno and me bolting up to Custer to begin the track for day one.
Filled my tank in Custer and set out on the track. Wow! Very Scenic! I made it to the place where Bryans bike was picked up (about the halfway point). As I was filling my tank a NASTY thunderstorm was rolling in. So, I B-lined for Alladdin to load up and head home. Thank you to all for making me feel welcome in this group! I had an awesome time. Life is short. Lets ride! |

RE: DakAL Trip Planning
I have been in Big Sandy, MT this past week wondering how the ride went. Sat-Wed, it had been pretty hot and really smoky here. Started raining late Wed and did not stop till Saturday. Today is the 1st day above 50 since Thursday.
Looks like you all had a ton of fun. |

Hey Guys,
I had a great time riding with you! Wish I could have stayed longer, that darn work thing! Sounds like I missed the fire and rain! What's the next big ride? I am hoping to explore more of Harding county, maybe spend a weekend ride just in Harding county. Maybe next year! Bob J |

If you want some challenge, I suggest this route in the UP of Michigan. I was fortunate to ride one a few years back..

RE: DakAL Trip Planning
I saw a few pics of you in the RR for the C-Trek. It looks like there has not been one in quite a few years. So can I ask the questions, would you do it again? What bike? I see that there are also the BB tracks which I assume would bypass a bit of the sand if you got tired. Sand can be such a total pain on 1 day, and it is fun if you are on your game.
I guess I am asking for what was great about the trip, and what was not. Thanks, Rich (09-21-2017 07:50 PM)c-zulu Wrote:(09-21-2017 06:03 PM)ST Rich Wrote: This looks to be fun. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/up...es.627424/ |
