Concours Valves

I wouldn't be too worried about it. Valves are supposed to make noise, especially when its colder.
Did my check at 22,000 last winter 15 out of 16 where out of spec, can't remember which way but I can look. It isn't difficult to do, just very time consuming, like Alvin said there is alot of crap in the way.
I took some vibration measurements of my 08 with 37k mile before I sold it. I had also planned to measure my new bike after about 5k and also right before and shortly after my shim adjustment at 22k, never found the time to bring the equipment home from work. I was looking to see if I could quantify if some were out of spec enough for me to tear into the engine. Bike has 45k on it now so I'll likely be checking the shims again this winter, hopefully I'll have time to do some vib measurements this time.
