And I thought I'd screwed the pooch. As I passed Tucson, AZ heading West I started seeing other riders heading East. First it was Cruzin', then right behind him I see DrPhil. I wasn't too concerned but then I see JohnF and figure I missed something in the route sheet.

I made great time across the California Desert and Central Nevada, but had a hell of a time getting through Glacier. Must have dropped my bike 4 or 5 times. Luckily I didn't see any Moose there or in Yellowstone.

When I pulled into the finish I didn't see anyone. Figured at that time I had really missed the boat. Cruzin' comes in with 2 minutes left on the clock and I know he's had great run. Imagine my surprise when they call his name before mine. Talk about a close finish, 135 points is all that separated us after all those days on the road.
