I've been riding to work most days for 3 weeks.....the lowest was 33 degrees high has been 50 degrees in the morning. Smile

Suck it up....besides we didn't ride "through" the tornado....we stayed just in front of it.....barely..... Dodgy

I miss riding with you. Sad Wanna ride up to the Bonzai together and race across the Twin Cities again?!?!?!?! Ahhhhh fun times....

Where are all the pictures I thought for sure Shooter would post his 25th GT by now.

Lots of talkie, no postie.

I've been kind quietly sitting here wishing he had bought a BMW so he could be talking trash about FJRs and Connies both, hehe. Ya all know its going to happen eventually anyways. He is going to get bored with a carefree bike and to want that bike with the $200 coffee/kool-aid holder and enough electrical gadgets and character to make it pretty much drive itself.

Yes he must be missing those high maintenance costs he had with his Harley.

A friend (the one in the video) and I went out exploring this week on our DRZ's, but I forgot my towel! I do live in ChARlotte, so I really have no excuse.

Avast me harties! I had to melt down me pieces of eight to brighten up me jolly roger. The first few etchings of shores near and far turned out to naught but bilge water so I sent em to Davie Jones' locker. With the flag shining like a new doubloon, she should shine through the thickest fog. To the gunwalls! Land-ho! [and I swear that this is the only time I'll talk all pirate-y]

I got out and rode for about 100 miles. Picked up 4 stops and rode some great roads.

RE: GLMC 2015 Grand Tour Chat
I touched 77 mph that day.. (it was a hell of a tail wind)

And that was both indicated and GPS.. Weird how the speedo on this is the most accurate of any bike I own.
And I passed a couple cars that day, and I have passed numerous Harleys with the Helix.. Then again, so do 10 speeds.. Smile

RE: GLMC 2015 Grand Tour Chat
Very nice!!!

I went out a couple weeks ago to get whispering Giants and I grabbed a few GLMC locations while I was at it. Unfortunately Marathon, ON was the last time I saw my flag. I used magnets to hold it to the bike and then did some re-packing. A couple hours later I noticed magnets on my frame. No flag, though. Sad

NEW FLAG NEEDED - 2015 Grand Tour
Mike, I'm working on a CD of my town photos. I'm bummed that I have to request a replacement towel/flag.

This weekend I wanted to see if I could get 50 towns in 24 hours. Well, 19 hours and 40 towns into the ride I had a mental lapse. When I got to town #41, the towel/flag was gone. I-55 somewhere south of Springfield, Illinois. Guess I will have to try for 50 in 24 some other weekend.

I hope I'm reading the rules right. That to get a second flag, I need to submit $10 and all the current town photos I have. If that's right, I will get the CD and a check into the mail tomorrow.

RE: GLMC 2015 Grand Tour Chat
I came close to leaving my flag on a fence at one stop a while back. But by the grace of God I saw it.

It would just be unAmerican not to love that Helix!

Ya, that flag almost stayed there to guard those who have gone before me!
