BBE

BBE
I have updated the BBE.
Unknown to me at the time, the change of dates put us in Glenwood during there Waterama celebration. This a great event to visit. Anyone wanting to bring family will have something for them to do while you are running the rally. This will also make for a lot of traffic to contend with. Here is a link to waterama. http://waterama.org/

RE: BBE
Looking forward to it! The Cb500 needs a little work though. Somebody may have set it on fire while playing with flamethrower exhaust systems.

A friend at work just bought an XS400, and I'm trying to get him convinced he needs to go to this event.

RE: BBE
Just a little update.
The coarse has been set. There is more gravel roads than tar roads this year. About 55% gravel 45% tar I would guess. Made contact with local land owners for some check points and challenges and all is in place. We have more scenic roads than last year with one being a real backwoods setting. All roads are passable for a street bike. But remember they are gravel roads.
The only thing left to decide on is lunch. I have one vote (my wife) for pulled pork and one vote (mine) for sloppy joes. Everybody jump in and cast a vote, even if your not coming to the rally please go ahead and vote.
Remember this is waterama weekend so anybody spending the night needs to make reservations early as town fills up fast that weekend. I will post some campground and motel info as soon as I gather it together.

RE: BBE
If I don't get my suzuki running I plan on bringing The Honda Hack...is the course sidecar friendly? I'm still coming either way just trying to plan ahead. I know I couldn't have done the obstacle course in Luni's backyard a few years ago...but I would have kicked butt on the rings on the road cones lat year....lol

are sidecars allowed? and can I have a passenger and make it 2up?

RE: BBE
Yes you can use a side car this year.
Yes you can go two-up.
As far as the ring toss,(if that is one of the challenges) the driver has to throw the rings and that will be interesting throwing across the side car to hit the cone. Hitting a cone would have to be a large deduction in points. (lol) Passenger can only go along for the ride. Driver has to do all calculating and timing of speed etc.

RE: BBE
I made a reservation at Glacial Lakes State Park for that weekend.

About 50% of the sites are still available.

It's not a competition, It's a demonstration. "Rowan"

RE: BBE
State Park is a great place also. Still close to the start and finish. Finish line will be Swift Falls which also has a good camp grounds. Swift Falls is about 10 miles south of Glenwood.

RE: BBE
Joane really wanted some place that she can go fishing.

You know how demanding those rally winners can be.

She needs a relaxing weekend after that grueling rally win. Time to figure out her expert strategy before The Buffalo Run.

Sounds like I will be running alone at the BBE as of now so I will probably just camp near you guys. Did you get a site #?

RE: BBE
When are you and Joane coming to town? Might be able to help her out on a couple of good fishing spots. My daughter works for the DNR helping with keeping boats clean of zebramussels. Also we have friends that might be willing to keep her busy.

RE: BBE
I just did a search on my computer and e-mail account under any names just mentioned and came up empty of anybody signing up. I also have not received any registrations in the mail. Some of you may have filled them out and were waiting for my new address to send them to. Cruzin, I came up with about 15 e-mails from you but none of them were a sign up sheet.
My email address is

dsweber9@gmail.com

My address is

Dave Weber
1466 90th Ave N.
Moorhead MN 56560

I don't know what else I can say except I have not received anything. If you sent money with your form, check to see if anything was cashed.
