Only are going to supply parts for 10 years. Basically made them all worthless. Lots of unique parts

RE: Victory Motorcycles Is Done
10 years don't seem like much, especially when you consider the average motorcycle rider does something like 1-3K miles per year.

I feel sad for the brand and the customers. Most I know were quite committed to the brand. All those dealers who had to throw out their old signs and artwork with the cool logo a few years ago, and then buy new expensive signs with the crappy V logo are going to be pissed.

RE: Victory Motorcycles Is Done
They have to guarantee a 10 year supply of parts. Chances are parts will be available for much longer than that. Either way, it is still a sad day. The largest Victory dealer in the country is not that far from me and they just opened a 2nd location. I wonder how this affects that.

RE: Victory Motorcycles Is Done
Well I guess that explains why Wheels Inc. of Fargo took on the Indian line this winter. I thought it was odd since we already had a small Indian dealer in Fargo. I was also sort of surprised when they remodeled the show room with a huge Indian display area and pushed the few Victory bikes they had left into a dark corner when Victory had been their featured line of bikes.

I think with the historic Indian name and the reliable stable Polaris backing, Indian is planning on getting into the Harley model of peripheral merchandising of apparel and knick knacks. I don't think the Victory name could have ever pushed merchandise like the celebrated Indian name will.
