IMS (International Motorcycle Show) Feb 1-3

As you are aware the IMS is in MPLS Feb 1 - 3, 2019
I wanted to let people know I have 2 bedrooms available for guests. each with a queen bed. If you would like to use one or both, let me know. They are both on the second floor. Bathroom on 1st and lower levels. I plan on going to the show all day Saturday.

Not sure if I'm heading up or not. I'll probably let you know if I do. Is the group doing Fat Nat's Eggs again? Any after show party or get togethers? I would be more inclined to come for that.

I heard the IMS Show in Dallas was, well, not very good this year. Lots of vendors were no shows, some dealing with slow sales, some because of the cost of the show. Several helmet and clothing vendors had also opted out. Any idea which brands and vendors will be at the Twin Cities show?

Dave here in Sioux City has most of his 2019's BMWs in, so I'm assuming most of the BMW dealers do as well. I have already been in to drool on them a bit. BMW has some pretty neat changes this year (for one thing the analog dash is most gone now, replaced by a flat screen). Not sure about Honda, Yamaha, Kawi, and the others. We don't have any of those sexy European brands here like you folks up North do. I saw picture of the new Triumph Rocket III coming in 2020 and that was pretty cool, but I don't see how a hitch and faring are going to fit on it. Besides BMW, KTM, Royal Enfield, and a little bit of Harley and Indian stuff, I haven't seen much new MC news this year. I'm sure I'm just missing most of it though.

Too many vendors not attending is reason for us to not go this year. Will miss seeing everyone one.

Only real news out of Japan is that Honda has a 450 street legal dual sport, Suzuki is bringing back the Katana, and the KLR650 is no longer in production. I think I'd rather hang out at moon Motorsports or wait to see everyone at the spring meeting rather than deal with downtown twin cities and all the crowds.

Well.......regardless of where the show is going, a guy has to eat :-)
So, who wants to join me and P for breakfast at Fat Nats on Saturday the 2nd.
And similar to Carol's offer, if someone needs a place to crash, we have an extra room.

I am working a shift at 9:30am (At t-shirt Give Away), so don't have time to go to Fat Nats, but I have the afternoon free and would love to see if we can find a bike to replace the XT250 (little more power, better suspension). I am also open to going out to eat, having a beer, around 5 or 6, if there is interest.
