RE: 2023 Grand Tour Q & A
I was asked if this was an acceptable hypothetical photo submission. If the garage door were to be a mural, let's say, the bike would count as a significant portion of your bike. What that rule was meant to prevent is people taking a picture of a mural with just the top of their windshield or a single mirror in the photo.

OK. Fuel tank, handlebars and instruments plus rally flag and bonus mural, and we are good to go.

RE: 2023 Grand Tour Q & A
While doing some planning for the ABM GT, I came across the situation of multiple bonus murals in close proximity. The 2023 Rules cover this situation by saying that "if you can push the bike from one mural to the next, then that is the same location" and only 1 point.
This got me to thinking "how far would I push my bike". If I use a NFL football field (100 yards) as an example, then I might consider pushing my bike to the half way line, but there is no way I'd push it all the way. I am going to jump on the bike and ride to the goal line. So is 100 yard / 90 metres / 1 football field a reasonable distance between 2 bonuses in order to qualify as 2 locations ?? |

We're in Australia and we're playing, so I guess they'll let you in.
I have started my collection and am at the point of emailing them. My camera takes 4mb files. Are these too big or would you prefer them reduced? IBA #54927 Hondas: Old C90, 2000 ST1100, 2004 ST1300, 2009 ST1300, 2012 GL1800, 2008 ST1300, 2005 ST1300 |

You can either email as you go, or save them up until the end. Just have to remember to beat the deadline with submissions. Email works, or you can use an online hosting site like google drive, smugmug, flickr, Facebook, whatever. Just has to be shareable. http://www.youtube.com/korysrides |

Will you be posting monthly updates?
Is there a place to post pics for others in GT to see? |

Updates, no. Most people don't turn in photos until the end of the event.

Do these work?
Jean wants to know if Quilt Barn Squares will work- theyre almost always bigger than 8x8 except ours at home which is 7x7 because that's the entire tractor shed door.
also, do "living" murals count, like ones made from trees or flowers. and advertising- I know of a couple of really well painted Coca-Cola murals on buildings, real old school Coke logos too TIA ------------------------ What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law.- Sheriff Buford T Justice, Portague County |

Barn quilts - yes Living murals - no Advertising - yes as long as it is meant to be art, or a celebration/commemoration of the graphic arts and not an actual business advertisement. It also can't be a machine printed/mass produced advertisement. http://www.youtube.com/korysrides |

Murals made up from mosaic tiles? Yes or no?
I've come across a couple already and need to know if they'll count. |

As long as it is on a wall and not something you would walk on, sure. There was a question earlier about living murals [flowers/trees] and that does not count as it's not on a wall. http://www.youtube.com/korysrides |

No multiple entries into the prize drawing, one entry for each
10-point level above 20 points, like the previous years? |

The rules are available with the link on the event page. If you finish the event it gives you one entry into the prize drawing. First second third gets a plaque plus their entry fee refunded. All finishers get t-shirts

RE: 2023 Grand Tour Q & A
Only 52 days left to get your pictures and send them in!
If you are sending them in one or a few at a time, keep doing that. It's working. If you are sending them in a batch at a time or ALL of them at one time, make sure you get the link sent to me before September 30. Make sure you make your album viewable! Submissions are to be sent to korymorehead@gmail.com as noted in the rules sheet. There is still plenty of time to sign up and finish the event. We have had people in the past sign up and finish with less than a month before the end. Any links sent after Sept 30 will not count. Links sent that are not viewable by me must be fixed before the deadline. http://www.youtube.com/korysrides |
