The GLMC/Team Strange is well represented in the Iron Butt Rally. Anyone else following it:

RE: Iron Butt Rally
I'm guessing but it looks like Pike's Peak was a bonus and maybe the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs? They look like a bunch of Lemmings rolling down I-70.

Wish I was a Lemming!!!!!!! The ants go marching on e by one hoorah, Hoorah.

I'm with ya Breeze....Key West WTF? Why did they burn all that time for so little points?

Don't know what happen to MikeH either? He is low in the standings but I saw a pic of him from Checkpoint 1 and he was smiling so I hope he just had some hiccups along the way.

JohnF is 21st.....hmmmm not to shabby considering he is the oldest person riding in the Rally!!!!!! Very Impressive. Wink

Connie G. seems to be doing okay.

Looks like Derek D. and John C. are riding the rails on the crazy train perfect. Was there any doubt? Smile

My money was on Derek from the start.... hope he can keep his lead with this all star bunch in the top ten.

I have been glued to Spotwalla since Monday and haven't worried about much else. If anyone has made it this far in my rambling I did get a job at Google in Council Bluffs. IA but that's not important till this Spotwalla thing stops next Friday....lol

Someday I'm going to "waste" $10,000 and ride the big show. Big Grin

Hope all of our friends make it back to PA and finish the journey!!!!

Have you sent your paper work in for your recent SS2000? The big dance starts with showing them you can complete all aspects of the ride!Dodgy

You are exactly right so I broke down and wrote them a check for $50. I splurged for the license backer and the pin. Smile

I refuse to pay for the SS1000 and Bun Burner since that is a given. Maybe I'm a BMW rider in H-D clothing?

Going out in the morning mail!!!!! So in about 4 months I will have one of those fancy 5 digit numbers finally....lol

So what's next a SS5000? Anyone want to go along? Big Grin

RE: Iron Butt Rally
So how about all those GLMC/Strangers going up in the standings!!!!!!

I think Derek is the only one to "drop" in the standings and I bet he comes back up on this final leg. 3rd is nothing to complain about and I suspect that he is going to turn it up a notch on leg 3. He had a shit eating grin on his face in the pic I saw. He's far from done.

Saw some CP2 pics of MikeH (still eating and smiling), an impressive Leg 2 and moved up 28 places!!!!!!!! Pretty sure he found his groove.

Coons is hanging tight with the pack and had a nice little make shift garage ready for him at CP2.

Connie and JohnF also seem to be maintaining their stride!!!! Connie even did a fist pump for the camera guy coming into CP2. No pics of JohnF have surfaced but I'm sure he is having fun....in a sick way. Smile

Go riders go!!!!!! Hope you all make it to PA as finishers!!!!!

To bad to hear about Eric Jewell. Sad

This has to be the best IBR I have seen (anything beats 2011)....it's anyone's ball game in leg 3!!!!!!!! What an all star bunch of riders!!!!

P.S. Spotwalla is on 24/7, got up at 3 am for some cookies and a quick check on the riders.....lol

Its called losing a 1900 point rest bonus due to a bad receipt, didn't matter in the end.
Tire change in Vegas on Leg3 screwed any chance of a higher finish but I was still thrilled with the final results.
Thanks to everyone for the calls & emails. A ride report will be coming sometime this week or next.
