Lowering dr650
Hi,
I am interested in lowering my '09 dr650 about an inch. I understand it is pretty easy and am wondering if there is someone that would be interested in helping me get this done? (I live in the SW Metro) I have not yet bought my short side stand. I am planning on riding this to the Bike Barn Enduro in a few weeks and would like to have it done by then or maybe it is something we can do while I am there??? (learning all there is to know about enduro racing ) Thanks, Carol Hauck |

RE: Lowering dr650
Hi Carol
I think it is pretty easy to lower the front by just sliding it down in the triple trees. If that is what you are looking for yes it can be done at the BBE. It think to lower the rear you need different links. Send us the forum link you were looking at. I am pretty booked this week, but might be able to slip away Sunday afternoon. It's not a competition, It's a demonstration. "Rowan" Jeff Kerkow In the Valley of the Jolly Green Giant GLMC #214 COG #7524, IBA #46513, |

RE: Lowering dr650
Thanks Jeff! I had better get my short side stand ordered I can be free on Sunday. I might have links??? The guy who sold me the bike gave me a bunch of different parts and he told me it was easy to lower it as there should be instructions in the manual. i looked and did not find these instructions, but the internet has been helpful. I looked at my parts last night, but I an not sure what 'link' I am looking for. I am arriving for the BBE on Friday evening and staying at a friends Cabin in Glenwood.
Thunmper Talk seemed to have the best instructions. Here are some of the forums I found: http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/100238-...ge__st__20 http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/100238-lowering-dr650/ |
