Lapchik's Custom Project
I have a project in mind, and will a few things to do it. Throwing a parts list out there to see if anybody knows of a deal I could get, or if they have something laying around in the shop they would let go of. Any donated parts, time, or advice will get your name on the sponsorship graphics when the bike is completed.
Main item . . . I need a motorcycle frame with front forks, front and rear wheel (with brakes would be awesome, and skinny tires are better than fat ones for this project), triple tree, rear swing arm (rigid frame is ok too). Ideal frames would be XS400, 125 Intruder, 70's dirtbikes, etc. Smaller is better. If it's a parts bike that will sell cheap, that would be awesome. This will not be road legal, so no title necessary. Handlebars, seat, brackets, etc are not important. Damaged frames are ok, as I will need to do extensive modification to any frame I find. Misc. small items: gas tank (any condition, it will be heavily modified also) 7/8" handlebar kill switch aerodynamic fairing of some sort sheet metal (could be an old sign, shelving, baking pans, etc) tethered safety kill switch like used on jetskis and drag bikes battery shutoff used on drag race cars 12v gasoline solenoid Just to keep you guessing, I'm not going to reveal what I am going to be building until I acquire the two main parts. This will probably take a year to a year and a half to build, but will be very, very worth it. Relatively low budget, but very technical. http://www.youtube.com/korysrides |

RE: Lapchik's Custom Project
Well, I was going to build a pulse jet powered motorcycle, but the guy that builds the engine power heads will not reply to my emails (it's been a month), so that's pretty much it for that dream. Worth a shot, but if he can't answer emails in a month, I really don't think buying something from him online and giving him any money would be a good idea.
