RE: New Yamaha
The regular version is great in a straight line, but needs a lot of work to get it to turn. Comprable to a Kawasaki Versys. Tall, doesn't like to turn without a lot of effort.

RE: New Yamaha
I've ridden both. Feel about the same but the yamaha has more power and wheelies a lot easier. They did make a bunch of changes to the Kawi lineup this year too. A parallel twin cruiser, Versys 1000, and a Verys 650 tourer.
Vulcan S, 650cc parallel twin Versys 650 LT Versys 1000 LT Yamaha also has an FZ07, direct competitor to the Versys Lots of cool bikes coming out, then there is this ugly blob of a Honda. http://www.youtube.com/korysrides |

Sport Tour ? Chain drive , Half fairing , no factory bags
Looks like a standard with a half fairing. Save a little more coin and get a Super T, Versys 650 same platform as Moms It's not a competition, It's a demonstration. "Rowan" Jeff Kerkow In the Valley of the Jolly Green Giant GLMC #214 COG #7524, IBA #46513, |

RE: New Yamaha
My second bike, 1980 XS650. I put 10k miles on it before I got my first Sportster (third bike overall). It was a fun bike. My first bike was a 1967 Kawasaki A7 Avenger 350. That was also a fun bike, until I crashed it.
Lots of tuning to get these Mikuni's dialed in. But I picked up 4 hp, better gas mileage and it was 2 kicks cold one kick warm. GLMC # 74 http://evoscot.blogspot.com/ Evo chopper 1996 FLHTCU 2005 XLH 1200 1988 XR250R |

RE: New Yamaha
Not sure what I was thinking:
Now if I can just figure out how to get the rust out of the gas cap key hole we can maybe start cleaning the tank. Its probably going to be a sponge for my left-over pennies for a while. |
