Real basics of the rules that I just sent off to get posted on the webpage:
The tour this year will consist of two type of locations: generic and specific. The rider will choose the generic location while the specific locations are chosen by the Rallymaster. Each state can have up to five generic locations with each location used only once per state.
Generic Locations
1. Murals
a. Painted art people make on the side of buildings or other structures in a town
2. County Courthouse
a. The name of the county needs to be visible in the photo
3. Veteran's Memorial
a. This could be a statue of a soldier, monument to a battle, or vehicles
4. Race track
a. Bike, dirt track, Nascar, horses, etc. The name of the track or sign of the entrance of the track needs to be in the photo
5. Something cool or important to the rider
a. This can really be just about anything, an interesting story would be great too
In order to claim the generic bonus, a rider needs to label each with the state & nearest town. This will help with scoring and can be done by labeling the photo or including a separate list.
Specific locations can't be used for generic locations. If we specify visiting the Simpson's mural in Oregon, you can't also claim it for your Oregon mural.
Specific locations will be announced at a later date (Plan for end of February).
Expect about 2-10 specific locations in each state. The northeast states will be lower due to their proximity to each other.
