Turning 40 sucked....lol

We had wind advisories last night. I decided to throw caution to the wind (pun intended) and still go. Went outside at 11:30pm to start the Harley....it was a no go at 28 degrees. So I head into the house pissed off and take off all my gear. Then I remember I have the KLR in the garage so I put all my gear back on. That's when I realize I have no way to carry my flag and backer safely in the wind and didn't want to screw myself out of my flag day one.

I said screw it and stayed home. Somewhere in the night the power went out and didn't come back on until 7:30am.

Happy Birthday to me.

So after work I grabbed some clips and my flag and went for a ride. The day ended better than it started.

BTW it was 39 degrees when I went riding. It's spring...right?

I have exactly zero locations so far, it's snowing heavily at the moment, one bike is in the shop for an overhaul, the other hasn't been started, and I'm really amused by all this big talk.

A simple bottle of ten-year Glenmorangie will suffice for me.

Okay so I have an idea.....

For those of us that want to "side bet" on their points in the Grand Tour we should all bet a bottle of our favorite high end liquor. The other catch is we pay up at the end of the year banquet. The winner get's a nice variety of sauce to keep them warm for the winter and maybe share. I see it as a fun time to tell our stories of our adventures also.

So who's in?

I will play if you except high end beer. The most expensive liquor I buy is Captain Morgan. Maybe expand to favorite specialty beverage doesn't have to be liquor.

I would think we put it all on the table and have your choice by how you finished.

Rules are you must attend the banquet and Lapchik stores the players some where.

If we are going to do this we should start a new thread.

After the post on the other thread I would like to say I still think I am going to win this year. Along with the list of names I previously mentioned I see that Ingrid Wessel also entered this year and she is no slouch. So i'm betting a lot of people will be in the hundreds this year and taking a stab at the title.

No matter who wins we will have fun playing and drinking at the banquet.

I finally felt good enough to go for a ride. I had to stop a couple times because of the wind knocking my helmet around, which resulted in a swimming head and double vision, but I just took a few more pills and powered through it. Feeling a lot better now that I finally feel well enough to go and ride.
