Well done Mr. Frick - what was your favorite specific? I really liked the Bonnie and Clyde ambush site in Louisiana. Oh, and the Bluesmobile on a stick

Oh, and the Bluesmobile on a stick Anytime I was out riding getting GLMC sites was a favorite!! But this the most. Not a great photo, but picture the scene of riding some narrow back road in rural GA at 10pm to find this race track. Then back a dirt road lined with pick up trucks to this sign. I was afraid of dumping the bike as I maneuvered it into position on the now soft dirt area. Just as I was setting up for the photo the command of "Gentleman Start Your Engines" is given, and all the late models fire up for that night's Feature race on the N GA dirt track! It took multiple tries to get the photo because it was dark in this area of the parking lot, so the cars actually begin racing while I am taking the photo, love that sound. Then after I left the track the GPS sends me thru the woods, over hill and dale, on a hard packed, one lane gravel road. I am hearing dueling banjos and thinking that if I crash or run off this road I am here until someone finally comes along, whenever that might be! Fun times, I actually did not do that many trips this year, but got most of the sites 1.) on the way to and from ButtLite8, 2.) a trip to New England to get states for the TeamStrange ride, 3.) this trip to AL and GA to visit my daughter, 4.) and a trip to ND&SD, again for TeamStrange GT. Wound up visiting 32 States. Thanks Mike H for great riding fun. JEF |

Thanks Mike H for great riding fun. JEF [/quote] Sounds pretty similar to my summer John - 1) a big loop of Lake Michigan to visit friends and bag states for the Team Strange GT along with Americona locations 2) A long way round 2 week ride to volunteer at the ButtLite 8 checkpoint and finish in Denver - I dropped south to Texas and Louisiana and up the east side of the Mississippi on my way home 3) and a long weekend to finish up my (all) 87 MN county goal for the Team Strange GT - I ended up in 26 states this summer. And yes - Thank you Mike for a great GT - very well done Sir! Jim, GLMC #208; Team Strange #533; IBA #12256; AMA Life #366349 To a man of imagination, a map is a window to adventure. This is one of my favorites. One of these gentlemen is from Minnesota and the other three are from different locations in Missouri. The picture was taken near Greenbrier Arkansas. When I go back and look at Grand Tour photos it is the ones that have people in the pictures that bring back the best memories

RE: Grand Tour Winner
My best pic was of my folks when I got down to visit them in April in Arizona. I actually delayed my trip by a week so I could start collecting bonuses on that ride. I got 88 points in the first 10 days, then very few for the rest of the summer.

So, I am rolling across the UP. I call my buddy Matt in Munising to see if he wants to get together for lunch. He tells me he can’t – he’s at the motocross track with his boys. Even better!

Congratulations Mr. Frick and all the top finishers!
"not a lot of trips this year"? Wish I could have gotten that amount of traveling in. Had a nice long trip in October, unfortunately after the event had closed. thanks again Mike H for the awesome event, can't wait to see the next theme! Steve |

Thanks Jack, and yes, she's a rider.. 800 GS, as well as a Super Sherpa.. She rides the wheels off the GS..
She rode with me to several GT locations in KY and TN this year.. I can see her being part of the game next season.. |
